Work Trade Program

 

THE SANDBOX Work Trade positions are specialized positions that help us fill gaps on our team. We ask for a six month commitment from Work Trade team members, and fill roles on a rolling basis.

In exchange for 5 hours/week of work, we are offering a coworking membership and two hours of meeting room time at THE SANDBOX per month. You’ll be able to access the space and all of its amenities exactly the same as any other SANDBOX member.

 

Responsibilities for all work trade positions include:

  • At least 5 hours/week working at THE SANDBOX. You’ll have a host shift that will help us extend our coverage hours and build our connections with the community.
  • Answering general questions about THE SANDBOX.
    You’ll be one of the first faces that people see when they enter THE SANDBOX, and you’ll be trained to be an expert on how we work, or goals and our memberships and event space. You’ll enjoy connecting to as you answer any questions that people may have. 
  • Leading an occasional walk-in, or scheduled, tour of the space.
    We’ll try to schedule all tours when our owner or staff is on site, but on occasion a potential member might want to see the space without scheduling a tour. You’ll be part of the team and help show them the space and explain why it may be a good fit for their business. 
  • Keeping THE SANDBOX clean and ready
    Our space can have a lot of hustle and bustle, and you will always be on the lookout for an empty coffee pot, or a stray coffee mug or other things left on tables, or workspaces. We take pride in keeping the space ready to go, clean and tidy!

 

Work trade candidates should:

  • Be interested in small business, entrepreneurship and innovation. Most of our members will be running some sort of small business out of the space or working for innovative companies!  These subjects will be on everyone’s minds and we hope they will be on yours too.
  • Be outgoing and curious about our space and members. Coworking spaces are social spaces, so you’ll need to be interested in getting to know who else is in the space. 
  • Be interested in what is happening in Santa Barbara or Paso Robles, the central coast and the local neighborhood. Visitors may ask you for advice on where to go in the areas we are located, and you should have a few good spots up your sleeve.

SANDBOX Ambassador

THE SANDBOX Paso Robles
Ambassador Program

 

Join our Ambassador program and help us spread the word about THE SANDBOX and our community to other businesses, entrepreneurs, independent professionals, remote workers and non-profits looking for a space to work, connect and grow their business and opportunity.

 

As an Ambassador for THE SANDBOX your role will be to:

  • Connect to the community on behalf of THE SANDBOX 
  • Refer people to try THE SANDBOX
  • Support our events and programs
  • Create an extraordinarily positive presence in Paso Robles and beyond

 

AMBASSADORS ARE:

  • Passionate about the Paso Robles business community and the benefits of starting and growing business on the Central Coast.
  • Well connected in the community and in the industries/areas they work
  • Able to commit to a 6 month term with the option to continue for a second 6 month term.
  • Able to devote approximately 8 hours per month (2 per week) on SANDBOX ambassador connections and “work”.  This should come naturally.

 

AMBASSADOR BENEFITS:

  • Receive an All Access Coworking membership to use THE SANDBOX at any time
  • Grow and build awareness of your own business and network through the SANDBOX

COMMITMENT:

  • Build awareness and actively represent THE SANDBOX in the Paso Robles community
  • Regularly attend local Mixers, Networking and other community Events representing THE SANDBOX 
  • Share news and promote THE SANDBOX through social media, word-of-mouth and networking opportunities in the community
  • Connect with THE SANDBOX on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn– and assist us in getting reviews on Google, Facebook and Yelp! 
  • Invite guests to Free Coworking Fridays (coming soon) at THE SANDBOX and our events
  • Host your own workshops, educational events or gatherings at THE SANDBOX at a discounted room rate
  • Refer friends, colleagues and other contacts to THE SANDBOX
  • Attend our Member Appreciation Mixers (coming soon)
  • Give an occasional tour of THE SANDBOX

Upon approval, you will be scheduled to attend an orientation session, that will provide information about THE SANDBOX. You’ll also receive some promotional materials to make referring easier.

Ambassador Focus Areas

 

Membership Growth:
Attract and retain new members in the Paso Robles community by having conversations and hosting tours with people interested in THE SANDBOX. This project creates an opportunity for you to promote the SANDBOX community and the Paso Robles business, entrepreneurial and creative community. 

Events:
Assist with programs and events. We’d love help executing our events! This could be simply checking people in at the door, or helping set up or breakdown before and after the event. This is also an unbelievable way to get connected in the SANDBOX and Paso Robles community as you will have the chance to meet everyone that is coming in and leaving for events at THE SANDBOX.

Community Awareness:
Spread the word about THE SANDBOX memberships, events, new programs, workshops, networking events and more in the local community.  

Social Media Engagement:
Encourage people to join the conversation about THE SANDBOX,  entrepreneurship, the creative community and more via Facebook, Instagram, twitter, Clubhouse, LinkedIn, and other platforms.

Connecting Our Community:
Our community always has people looking for opportunities, looking to hire new employees and just connect to the right people.  Helping to facilitate this community connection can provide huge growth opportunities for people across the region, as well as your own network!

Video/Photography:
Get creative with your talents and help THE SANDBOX capture imagery and video of the space, our community and our events.  You’ll add to your portfolio by capturing events and activities at THE SANDBOX and help us by visually documenting things that place in and around our locations!
